We wish we could sit here in the woods quietly with you, while we have something to drink, and tell you the story of the Dosrius Cabins.
With a tangle of emotions, we opened our doors on August 13th with the first 3 cabins. Augustine was very sure that they would be named after mushrooms! La Llenega, Gírgola and Molleric!
In autumn, Pinetell and Carlet were added.
In September we celebrated the construction of the Cabana Cep and the Nightingale. But this Christmas, we are shocked by the news of Augustine's cancer.
That August, Marc decided to leave teaching after 10 years as a Physical Education teacher, and took the lead to continue his father's dream.
Year of great uncertainty as in the rest of the world. But we receive the greatest gift, our son Luke! Motherhood is the key reason why Sandra definitively leaves the frenetic pace of hotels. And decide to dedicate yourself entirely to the Cabanes Dosrius project. Now; at the Slow pace with connection with Nature.
After almost 5 years of flying pigeons and full dedication to breeding, we give birth to the La Saleta project!
Augustine couldn't see the trajectory of the first decade, but as a family, it's an honor to keep his dream alive. Grateful to continue adding adventures, and more with our great little adventurer!
We want to start with this phrase that has accompanied us since the beginning of our history: Life takes you, but it also gives you opportunities to be able to resurface.
The idea for Cabanes Dosrius was born during a family after-dinner conversation, a conversation between a woman who dreams and loves nature, Sandra; and a man who stood out for his perseverance and logical ability, Agustí. (In fact, daughter-in-law and father-in-law, they loved to reflect and share ♥ very much). So the ideal combination was given to show the first spark of illusion of what would become, the project of our lives!
The next step was, to take a leap into the void! After losing his job in a multinational and with practically the whole family against him, Agustí decided to sell his home in Caldetes where they lived. Leaving everything, to give yourself body and soul. We thought he had drunk the understanding! But with his great tenacity and absolute confidence in the idea, he overcame all the obstacles that stood in the way. Which were not few, nor easy at all!
On August 13, 2013, we managed to open the doors with the first 3 cabins. It was a really intense process of opening up and in chaotic moments, in which we were focused (and also upset), the whole family. Agustí and his wife Maria (who, by the way, had to leave her heels for her mountain shoes!), settled down to live right here in the forest, where the reception is now. And from there, they took care of all the customers' daily tasks, practically available 24 hours a day. His son Marc combined school as a Physical Education teacher with the maintenance of the cabins. And Sandra was in charge of creating the website, the internal process guides and what she likes to do the most, weaving a network! But at that time she was still working in large hotels in Barcelona, "addicted" to the frenetic pace as a group coordinator.
When we look back on these 11 years of career, we are accompanied by particularly hard moments, such as Agustí's fight against cancer, in which he died in August 2015. But we are also accompanied by many experiences that we remember with a smile and now we clearly understand that we have all been a key piece for this project to become a reality and become what Cabanes Dosrius is today. An inspiring family project for us, in which in an organic way, we have been contributing and sharing our talents.
Agustí gave birth to the 7 warm and cozy cabins on top of the trees. And although he has not been able to live the trajectory of the first decade, he has invited us to follow a path that has allowed us to grow, express and enhance our qualities. And it is an honor as a family, to keep their dream and the soul of the project alive. Reconnect with the natural environment, to value the essentials and enjoy the small great pleasures of life. Generating a Health and Well-Being Space for all the Senses.
We doubt Agustí's attitude of perseverance and resilience towards the complex situations of life, values that he has left us for our day to day. And it reminds us that THE IMPORTANT THING IS NOT WHAT WE FACE, BUT THE WAY WE DO IT.

A woman fighter and worker, with very clear ideas. Order and cleanliness are two of its virtues. No stain escapes him! She is retired but always willing to help with whatever it takes!

Curiosity is its engine. Dreamer and enthusiast of a better world. But sometimes they have to help him land, and integrate practicality! He can't help but take care of the detail. And although sometimes she "doesn't want it", Sensitivity is inherent in her.
When I was just over 1 year old, I was already asking to raise my lunches in my electric car! We love watching him run through the woods, how he helps us prepare baskets and welcome customers. He says his favorite cabin is Pinetell!
Very attentive and delicate with everything she does. With a great capacity to harmoniously decorate every corner. Sometimes self-demand and perfectionism can! But he likes challenges more and more... 😉
Of Latin blood, she always gives us the warmth of her smile and the "ritmazo" of her "body"! It has a lot of good taste for decoration. And we love how he brings his "touch" to the team and the cabins!
She is a forest cat that has been with us since the beginning! He has earned the limelight accompanying guests during their stay, with a lot of love.
And we love to remember the original names given to her by the children who "take care of" her!
